Kim is a Certified Whisky Ambassador accredited through the British Innkeeping Institute (BiiAB) in in Glasgow, Scotland. Kim's lack of affiliation with a specific brand allows her to tailor whisk(e)y tastings and talks for corporations, organizations and private clients. Her lighthearted, story-centric approach is backed by solid knowledge and a deep passion for the “water of life”.
While Kim’s first love is whisk(e)y, she is an equal opportunity enthusiast of all spirits including gin, tequila/mezcal, rum, etc.

*California & U.S. Small Batch Whiskeys: Kim grew up on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley, which has led to a particular interest in Golden State distilleries and small batch whiskeys.
I reached out to 5 or 6 sources for a private Whisky Tasting of Japanese whiskies and after chatting with Kim on the phone for a few minutes I knew she was the right choice. She put together a lovely 2 hour tasting of 6 unique Japanese whiskies, acquired the whiskey and ran the tasting. Kim is extremely knowledgeable on everything from how to nose, taste, history of whisky to the history of the distilleries themselves. She was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend her for any whisky related events!

Certified Whiskey Ambassador Kim Ohanneson created a unique, private tasting in Los Angeles for me and fifteen of my friends. Attendees ranged from collectors to neophytes.
